    Hey Eric...yay!

You can meet me and a couple of others at the south King Soopers parking lot on SW 14th street (hwy 402) and Taft. We'll be leaving from there at 7:15 am to get to Lyons at a reasonable time. See ya there.

Everyone else who will be doing this ride, please be sure to take a look at the first post in this thread, so you know where to meet and at what time.

Can't wait to see all of ya.

I am planning a long ride up that way also on sunday. I'd join you but I plan on stopping often to take pictures. Maybe we'll be passing at some point.

I'm planning on meeting up with you guys. I too have to catch a flight later in the day and will probably cut the ride short. I'm thinking Boulder-Lyons-Estes Park-Trail Ridge Road-Granby-Idaho Springs-Nederland-Boulder.

Holy hell! I'd have to leave my house at 6:30 to get there in time....AND I'll need to dig around and find my donut pillow for my bike, because if I didn't have roids before, I would definately have them after riding all the way out to freakin steamboat.

Sorry guys don't think my lumpy ass can handle a long haul like that.

Hun ain't nothin' lumpier than me...lol

Meh...it's a good way to feel alive and one of my favorite things to do. I get home after rides like this and forget I have certain body parts, cuz their so freakin numb...but none of that matters because of the scenery and most importantly, because of the companionship.

Why is a school zone 20 mph? That seems like the optimal cruising speed for pedophiles...

Yeah, what a great ride! Too bad the weather didn't totally cooperate but it was lots of fun nonetheless. And, um, too bad my battery didn't cooperate, either. Thanks to all that helped give me a push start! I owe you a coffee or beer or something. Hit me up at the next Motohaus or beer night...

Was is really only 290 miles? Me odo says more like 315 or so - must be off a bit.

PS. Next time I'll try to bring a real bike... ;-)

I reset it at Lions. So yours is probably right from Loveland.

290 Miles! What great ride and I got to see a lot of great canyon roads. My first time thru Trail ridge I have to do that again during the week before snow fall.

Thanks again Cathy for a great ride here in Colorado! I'll post my photos soon.

Re: NoCo long-ass ride Aug. 3

    Cathy,

Thanks for the great ride. We had some interesting events on the way home. Warren, Sean, and I rode to Waldon, and then we cut across a 20 mile dirt road to hit 14. I had an antelope either try to charge me or was just playing, but either way, the thing was running at close to 60 miles and hour. Crazy stuff! UnSuk was yelling under her helmet. The antelope actually passed Warren, and it looked like it was going to hit me, but it turned away when it was about five feet away.

Then, Sean had a flat front tire. We had to ditch his bike. I think he is headed up with Chris to pick it up. Warren and Sean looked mighty strong together on the Fz1. I think UnSuk was jealous because they looked better than us!

    Thanks again, Cathy!!!!!

...sheesh, that Sean. Sounds like a walking hazard if you ask me...lol...j/k Sean...nothin' but love for ya.

It was great seeing you, Patrick and UnSuk...just wish it coulda been longer. Meh...still more season left, so ya never know.

Sounds like your second half of ride was just a tad more interesting than ours, though.

    Pics to follow...
