    some fall colors

weekend before last I took a ride down around southern Colorado and had a really nice time... nearly had to delay the ride due to work and sure glad that didn't happen.

anyways, thought i'd share some pix shot from the road... i'm sure it'll be some familiar sights.

talk about wide load.. this guy was barrelling down the canyon coming into Buena Vista like he was in a pickup, kicking up rocks and sand like there was no tomorrow and when I finally did get a chance to pass him he got all wild eyed and flipped me off..

To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

most of the pictures are taken with a nikon D40 my wife had while riding as my passenger for this trip.. and I've got a little Sony DSC-T30 I keep in my pocket..

this was my first trip taking a DSLR along... I need to get a wide angle lense one of these days.

Cool pics man, thanks for sharing. Seems like there were some great trips taken recently. Steve and I had a great time, and I got some great pics as well. Glad you guys enjoyed yourselves.

    Re: some fall colors

yeah, I do the same route every year and this is probably the first in 5 years where i actually hit at the right time for color.. last year I think I was a week-10 days too soon and the year before I spent the entire trip avoiding snow.

kebler pass was the highlight this time, 30 miles of dirt but very fun.

    Thanks!

I took Fall River Rd on Sunday, just west of Idaho Springs. It's smooth, new asphalt in areas with a beautiful view. Similar view as the pictures that were posted here.
