Came down 7 after lunch today and right where the first downhill left hand sweeper is at the top, they had traffic stopped and emergency vehicles blocking the road. After we were let past I see 3 other sportbikes and folks pulling a blue Ninja 650R out of the ditch. One of ours?

she doing as good as expected. Cat is my wife and as Chadwick said she home.She said something got here front loose and she paniced. Grabbed a hand/foot full of brakes. We all know the story from there. She is a new rider and was riding well within her means and the speed limit. Knowing Cat she was below the speed limit.
Good thing she wears her gear( well all but pants) the only spot on her lid was on the visor. Her gloves did there job, as well as her jacket. Her bike is in rideable condition but has suffered major road rash.
As we were heading down a cop was hauling ass up 7 and I got the the sickest feeling, and slowed down to a crawl. Came to a good spot the stop and wait for the group to gather. It was one of the scariest moments when she did not come around the corner where we had stopped. all i keep thinking is that she was going to come around the next corner as I was heading back up. After about 5-6 turns later I knew something was up. And that is the worst feeling, not knowing what was up. The ride to where she was felt like it took an hour and all I keep doing was telling myself she is fine and to ride with some common since. Not the easiest thing to do by the way. Came around a corner and saw the emergency vehicles and was stopped. I asked if it was a blue bike and knew it was my wife. When I got to her side she was alert and obviously in pain. The got her in the ambulance and took her to longmont.
I would like to thank the riders that stopped to help her and called for help. I was also like to thank Chadwick and Chris, Ron, Sutton, and all that helped out today. From the bottom of my heart I thank you

Glad she's okay. That can be a tricky road, for even the best of riders. Take care of her Chad and heal her up nice and good!

I know that feeling. Rita ran into a guard rail back when she was first starting to ride. I'm glad she's mostly ok. That road rash will be a pain of course.

I wondered what had happened on 7. Me and a friend were stopped at the top, came around the big right, and the ambulances were already there. Could not tell what was up! Glad there were no fatalities.
thanks everyone for your support. Cat is SORE!!!! She is now aware of every part of her body, but they gave her some good medicines. Thanks again for all the texts and pm and post. Keep them comming Cat feels really good when I read them to her

And I thought my crashes had been bad. Road rash is not a pretty sight. But, Cat is doing well. Lots of people wishing her well is a good thing like Chad said. She loves the well-wishes.
