I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Well here the worst of the injuries, at less worst looking. This picture was taking just after she got her stitches.
She only got this road rash on her knee cause she had jeans on, the only area we hadn't bought protection for. But all of her gear did it's job.

Ouch. That looks to be NORCO level narcotic pain.

Thank you all for the well wishes....I feel like a train hit mi today, I'm sooo sore. My leg looks worse then the picture above. I will have to get chad to update it. I'm starting to bruise on my ankle, leg and shoulder. I think it is going to look real ugly in the next couple of days. Now I have to get the guts to get back on...just now sure. Thanks again, Chad has been super awesome, I could not ask for a better husband or friends like you all!
Sorry to hear, heal up soon!!!!!!!
I bet she's hurtin, sorry to hear that. Roads are a bit dirty now and the unexpected is always lurking. It's these situations that make us better riders though. I know how it is going over and over it as to what went wrong and what could have been changed to avoid it. Somtimes it's just an accident and theres little we can do to change that. Peace Bro take care.
Ouch! sorry to hear it, but glad she's ok and not hurt worse.

Heal up first, replace all the gear you need to, and get out for a few small rides before you give up on riding. Crashing sucks, especially right afterward! That's a HUGE downer for a new rider, but now that you have your crash out of the way it's smooth sailing, right?
One thing that helps me after a crash (no matter which two-wheeled toy it's on) is to ride past the spot where you went down. It's weird; even going slow, this anxiety creeps up the back of your neck as you get closer to it! As soon as you pass it safely it won't have power over you anymore and the experience is very cathartic.
Get better soon, Cat! Spring is a-comin'!
hope you are healing up fast!!
I worry as my wife wants to take up sportbike riding too, instead of riding with me?
Keep us informed as you progress...
Cat / Chad, if there is anything I can do let me know. Cat I hope your injuries heal quickly...hope to see you back in the saddle next spring.

Ouch! Please pass on my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery -- and the next ride! I was riding up CO 7 that day at a "sporting pace" on my RC51 when I came around that bend and was REALLY surprised to see a string of cars stopped in the road! Talk about braking while leaned over, trying not to add one more spill to the event!
Free your mind!
update,
well it has been 19 days since the accident and Cat had to get a skin graph on her knee on Monday. She is starting to feel better but the pain is taking its toll. She's getting a little irritable. If there is ever a testimony to wear your gear this is it. The only gear she was not wearing was riding pants and that was the cause of the most injury. If she had some she, I believe she would be done healing from this. Thanks to all that have been checking in and thanks for all the offers to help. this is truly a great community of people. thanks again

ouch, i hope the rest of the recovery goes smoothly.
