Feeler: Track day at the CSP facility 11/23

Trying to see if there's interest to lap at the CSP track in Golden. If the weather holds out and we can get around 10 riders, Mike at Go4It is open to having a bike group on the 23rd. This will be an open practice much like what we used to have at second creek, leathers required, previous track experience would be nice. Cost will be $150.

Last weekend we ran cars (just 6 of us) out there all day long. Usually if there are students we alternate in ~1/2hr sessions. There are two long straights where bikes will get up to triple digits , and a rise where your front end gets light. Lemme know & I'll update this thread.

Hey Jeff, thanks for the post. I know I'm itching to go fast again (legally). Looks like the left side of the tire might get a little cold. A couple of Q's
    1. will it be organized, or free for all (ie: anybody checking on what's going on?)
1a. corner workers or emergency crew?
    2. how long is the track?
    3. if we get more than 10, will the cost reflect the number of participants. Or is it a set fee?
    Thanks!

Good questions, I will ask, but as far as I know right now:

    1. Organized to the extent there will be run groups and some passing protocols
1a. No corner workers or emergency crew
    2. 1.4 miles, counter clockwise circulation
    3. Fixed price that I know of.

I agree it would be nice to have an EMT on site but I need to find out.

im no EMT but i may be able to help do some coverage (i am CPR/Blood Bourne Pathogens/Certified First Responder most of all Certified Athletic Trainer... you know the guys who go out on the field or court as soon as a player is hurt...and/or i may be able to ask some medical friends of mine if theyd want to help cover... one guy is an EMT, but he;s pretty busy... he went with the USA wrestling teamto Bejing this summer as an Athletic Trainer...

i also know a bunch of the ortho guys in the area from covering my school's football games, etc. they might want to just see some fast bike go around the track...
just let me know what you guys come up with if i should ask around

    Update

Well, it looks like unless Mike gets a firm commit by Wednesday the bike thing isn't happening. There will be no EMT, if you have first responder cert that will be a bonus.

He's got some students in cars so we'd be alternating sessions. But it seems like he needs 10 riders to make it worthwhile. I know $150 is hard to come by so close to the holidays, but maybe after the winter when we'll have High Plains added to the list (not sure how much that would be). So let me know by Wednesday.
