Official Tech Day Thread May 16th! UPDATED

We are going to open our Shop for the Tech Day on May 16th starting at 9am! Due to something coming up on the 17th we're going to move it to Saturday. This will alleviate conflict with other functions (Chicane Track Day & Noob Ride) and also allow a few vendors to attend. Our address is 2331 West Hampden #117 Englewood CO 80110 right behind corvettes only.

If you are willing to donate "how to" or "basic bike maintenance procedures" please PM me and I will start a list of topics being covered here:

    Bike Topics:
    1. Brakes - May 16th the brembo distributor can make it and talk about brakes, master cylinders, setup, etc.
    2. Ferodo Brake Pads and brake pad technology
    3. Marchesini Wheels: The advantages of lightweight wheels
    4. Vemar/Scorpion/Sidi Rep will be giving demonstrations on appearel
    5.

    Bike Maintenance:
    1. Coolant Flushes
    2. Brake Bleeds
    3. Basic parts installation
    4.
    5.

Wade and I are willing to donate/grill for the event. If people would like to bring drinks/chips we will cover the burgers/hot dogs. Please PM me so I can keep the list up-to-date

    1. Iasmurfco - Burger Patties, hotdogs, etc.
    2. David & Wade - Chips, Buns
    3.
    4.
    5.

Besides seminars the big thing will be getting you're bike ready for the spring. However don't expect anyone to do the work for you. I personally won't be lifting a finger on anyone's bike, I will be happy to help/direct you on what to do but won't be grabbing a wrench, that part is on you. Also if you're going to be coolant flushes, brake bleeds, etc. bring you're own product/supplies/parts as I won't give this stuff away but will have on hand for purchase.

    DK-

How about some basic Suspension/SAG setup.

Also, it's a good time to do radiator flushes...would be a great time to run some water wetter and get rid of the winter antifreeze.

I sent a PM, but head bearings are good yearly maintenance that would be valuable. I've done it but others may be better to show this...

+1 on doing any day but track and race days.

I might be up to demo how to check and adjust valve clearance on a bucket/shim and adjustable valve lash type motors.
Have one of each motor that I can have out of the bikes for better access/viewing.
