And I wouldn't compare any place to Hilo. They have to pay people to live in Hilo. All it does in Hilo is rain. Except for the days that it is really raining. Don't think classic Hawaii when you think of Hilo. Think of rain.

Why the negative stigma? The only real outragous aspect of Boulder is the housing costs, yet that is all relative. I would gladly spend an extra 100$ to live near all the things I enjoy in life (Mountains, Soccer fields, downtown boulder, school, work ect...) Hell everything I do is so close I probably save 100$ just in gas from not having to commute to do the things I want.
Sure if you were planing on buying a house you'd need half a mil but other then that I wouldn't want to live anywhere else...
