Talking Chicane HPR Monday, June 8!!!

Time to put in your request for the day off!
And I finally get to make it to a track day!!!!

That's right, it's on a Monday! Plenty of time to come down with a serious case of throttelitus. I know I'll be canceling class due to an "interdicplinary seminar" Chicane will be making it's debut at High Plains Raceway.

Some benefits to riding a Chicane track day:
    - corner workers
    - rider coaches
    - fast, medium and slow groups
    - full emergency staff
    - professional photographers
    - fine tuned organization
    - and more stuff that I can't even remember!

I don't think DiSalvo is coming again, but as an added bonus, I will be on hand to boost self esteem by letting the majority of the people pass me whenever they want! No additional charge!

    Who's riding?

On a serious note, totally there. Bike will be running by then no problem (fingers crossed).

    Chicane Track Days $200.00

Do you happen to have the lap times needed to run in the Intermediate and Advanced Sessions?

And can you guys provide an infrared transmitter, to get lap times, at the start finish line for the entire day? If not I can loan you guys one of mine.

You're on a Honda now. Pedrosa podiumed with two fractured legs. Dude couldn't walk at all. I think you can ride with only one out of commission. Crossing my fingers for ya Chad.

We'll have to wait for Scott or Ralph to chime in on that one. I don't think most people have lap times yet. Alot of us haven't run it yet.

I don't know that we have that determined yet, though I suspect it will be based loosely on certain known riders' times from the MRA weekend, and how people fit into the groups at Pueblo. Neat thing is if you are in the wrong group, you can be changed.

Dunno if Scott has one since his timer is GPS-based, but I'm sure someone will have one out there.

That is one of the cheapest rates in the country for a professionally run and staffed track day, at a track like High Plains.

I can't speak for Chicane Track Days, but with the limited number of spots in Never Ever, and the fact that it's an unfreakin believable deal, I would assume that it's a once only shot.

Re: Chicane HPR Monday, June 8!!!

I plan on going. This will be my first track day out west.
I emailed Chicane but have had no response. Can someone tell me how they run the track day? Is it split up into Novice, intermediate, and advanced groups? I'm a fast intermediate at my home track (Jennings GP) and have ridden Barber a couple of times but do not have a race license or "official" training certificate. From what I can gather I may have to take a class before I can ride?

    Any info would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    JP

I would imagine that you would be in the advanced group. However you can always get them move you to intermediate if you want to.

Thanks. I actually would prefer to be in Intermediate since I have never been to this or any track out here yet. I was just hoping to avoid having to spend all day in a class or getting beginner instruction since I have had track time before.

Hey JP. Yeah the email for Chicane has had a few bugs in it. As Tipys said, please feel free to PM Rybo (it's his company). To my understanding, it's best if you can have some proof of riding a track (cert. receipt, etc) and then one of the rider coaches will run you through the track as an introduction. I agree, I might start with intermediate and move up if you think you should.
