Strongly considering getting one for canyon riding and some track days. Should I go with regular or wide lens?

Wide. I have the regular and it works well but the wide looks better and as support for 4GB cards even tho it says only 2GB will work.
Also consider this: If you ride in the cold, the batteries will only allow the camera to run for a very short time. No matter what kind of batteries you use.
First rule of the internet: *bleep* you and everything you stand for. Second rule of the internet: FKZOR U AND RRYTHING U STND FR!
I think the wide lens is much cooler.
Wider distorts the distance perception somewhat, but you gain peripheral cues like seeing apexes and such. I feel the regular one gives me tunnel vision. Here is the vid I took in Monterey, using the GoPro wide.

I like the wide. For motorsports, it really gives a sense of speed.
