    Hello from Nick Ienatsch

Hello all...My wife and I have a vacation home south of Pueblo and are spending more and more time here. I found this great site on Monday and wanted to say hello.
Thanks for pushing "The Pace"...that story wrote itself back when my friends and I were racing at Willow every month, but street riding every weekend. We fell into a way of street riding that kept the fun but reduced the risk and competition. I appreciate seeing it on CSC...and have just written "The Pace 2.0" for Cycle World magazine...should appear in a few months.
The Pueblo track has asked me to help out with the two-wheeled stuff and I will head the Safety Orientation deal this Saturday...who knows from there? Paul at Pikes Peak and Glen at HPR are friends/acquaintences and I'm hoping to be involved with those tracks as well.
Hoping to meet some of you Saturday at Pueblo, please come over and say hello.

Nick who? Mark who? Does this mean the site has to be about bikes again?

Welcome Nick. I used to read your stuff back in the beginning of time (1989? 1990?) when I was just getting into al this stuff. Hopefully I will see you sometime this summer. Just not with Mark S. around. He gives me hives.

Thanks for the welcome. Two reasons we have a place in CO: Every magazine "staff tour" at Motorcyclist or Sport Rider included Colorado backroads...and being close to three tracks is fantastic.
Last Friday my wife Judy and I checked the weather at noon and then zipped up to Pueblo to lap for a few hours...that doesn't happen in too many places. I know Pueblo is struggling and I'm motivated to help if possible.
And of course the best way to help is to get riders riding well...they have more fun, spend less on crash damage, ride more laps, increase our industry. I run the Yamaha Champions school at Miller and Laguna and our safety record is amazing...I could easily do some one-day clinics here (with Schellinger, Turpin and Horwitz...three locals who teach for me at the Champ school) for groups. Let's see how it goes.
Sorry for the long post...riding improvement is pretty much all I think about. There's some crap being taught to new riders that falls apart when the speed comes up (or the grip goes down). We, the enthusiasts, need to turn our sport around and realize that the Champions go the fastest while crashing the least. Let's do what they do...at whatever pace we choose.
See you Saturday or someday soon...NI

    Re: Hello from Nick Ienatsch

I took one of those clinics with Schellinger , helped me a bunch! Hopefully between Miller and Laguna you might be able to fit in a clinic locally.

Welcome to the forum and to Colorado. They say there are more sunny days here in Colorado than any other state and for the most part they are right.

Thanks for you awesome contribution to the motorcycle community!
