How much are heated gloves? Does Performance carry them? The temp was 34 when I left this morning the riding gloves I bought worked well for the first 10 min. then my finger tips started to numb up.

It got pretty technical up past the rocks in the one pic plus I had to get home so I stopped there, but might have continued if I wasn't up there alone.

Jeff gave me a good route I might do next time out of Boulder too that's all dirt, decided to hold off on that one yesterday.

The Tourmaster ones are $169, before your CSC discount, and come with the wire harness and controller, which makes them a better deal than pretty much everything else out there. Firstgear run $129-$169, plus $69-119 for the controller, depending on which style you want. Club Discounts will apply.

Nice I didn't know about the discount. I see they are closed on Sunday will head down on Monday to buy the Tourmaster. Thanks for the info.

I was almost going to post up a new thread about the weather getting colder. One year, almost to the day! It's starting to get cold again. I have better gear but still no heated grips. When will I learn? Man, I hate commuting in the dark.

@ 6:30 it was kind of chilly. I'm saying it was bad, but over the last couple of weeks I've felt a pretty big drop in early morning temps.

    Excellent timing...

I noticed it this morning as well that there was a bit of a bite in the air. Nothing like a year ago, but it was noticeable.

The duc's got heated grips. I've only played with them a little bit, it's going to have to get quite a bit cooler before they come on.

Angela and I went on a DS ride on Saturday morning. I got to ride my buddy's F800 with heated grips. I didn't "need" them, but they sure were nice!

The VFR showed 43 at one point on the ride in. I did go ahead and close the vents on the sleeves. I usually don't break out the heated gear until in gets down near freezing.

I give you all props for riding in near freezing weather. I am to much of a panzy to ride in anything less than like 50.

Yes, heated grips!! I used them commuting on the Beemah last week with summer gloves.

So glad I got the electric vest, for when it gets really cold.

That's not to bad at all.I wish I had a bike with cool gadgets, like temp gauges. I'm surprised that the KLR even comes with a speedo.

The only place I really felt it was on my neck. I haven't even put the liner in my jacket yet. But it's not far away.

I will agree with you, it wasn't cold, but there was definitely a noticeable drop. 9news said it was supposed to be 82 for a high today but that 75 was supposed to be the next highest temp of the week. I was starting to forget it was actually October over the weekend...

I think if my commute was as long as it was when I lived a little farther north then my ride would've been colder!

Re: Okay, that was kind of cold.

The commutes have been fine so far, only used the jacket liner once but yesterday I had to go to Sterling first thing in the morning. Left the house shortly before 6. it was mid 40s and I had the jacket with liner and middleweight gloves and was fine. Heading east the temp quickly dropped, I got to Limon shortly before the sun came up and it was 30. Once the sun came up it quickly got to about 40 but then it stopped. Got to the track about 8:15 and that was the coldest I have been in along time!
