I like the second RWB paint scheme better. Cool bike...but I only have room for one underpowered moto in the garage and that spot is taken.

And I bet it would be fun to race, but I'm thinking the Ninja is probably "faster" (relatively speaking).
Odd that the US-spec Ninja still doesn't get FI like it's global-market versions.

Agreed! Like Dave said earlier, the hideous VFR took a dump and this is what was swirling around the bowl. The one thing I like about the current Ninjtte is that it looks like a Ninja.
I like the black one.
Wish my little Ninja was fuel injected.

Probably thinking/hoping people will flock to something that looks different. They did pull that off with this and the VFR, it does look.."different". In a spaceship sort of way.

Because that's the new look for the CBR family.
I'm willing to bet the 2012 600RR will look more like the 250 than it will the current bike.
The current CBR1000RR has a similar look now, and it's also due for a facelift in 2012...

It's a toss-up, Ninja has more HP, but is carbed and heavier, Honda has more torque, but is fuel injected and lighter.

That is really unfortunate. The 08 and up 1000RR grew on me, but I hate the look of the new Viffers. I still think the 06-07 1000RR's and the 07-present 600RR's are some of the best looking bikes out there.

I think it comes down to what you want it for. If you're just looking for a beginner bike, they'll both do fine and the carbed, heavier bike might even be more forgiving for throttle mistakes. In the end, they're both 250's and Honda wanted to get into that market since Kawasaki was basically unchallenged and Honda is much, much larger.
Hopefully it'll drive the price of entry down on motorcycling and increase the appeal of "learning" bike.

I'm looking at it for 2 reasons:
1. wife has never ridden, period, and 2. my RSV doesn't get 75 MPG, more like 30. Plus, who wants to put commuter miles on an Italian? I'll save that for the weekend riding, when my wife can follow me on the 250.
