    New Honda V4

Not what I was hoping for, but might appeal to some.

    Details.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

And something new, clearly based on the VFR 800:

Actually, I like everything, ecpecially the "RC"-looking bike, except that butt-ugly scooter.

    That adventure bike looks cool.

    ^^VERY much agreed

Is this the new class of bike that manufacturers are focusing on? We just saw two similar unveilings from Ducati

The Crosstourer looks more like a GS1150 than an f800. It could be cool. I'd be interested in seeing some specs. My guess is that it's a big pig, like the others in that boat. That would be sweet if it came with crash bars! It would have been really cool if they made the Crossrunner to compelete with the f800 and made it a little more dirt friendly.

All these adventure bikes... makes it harder to decide what to upgrade the 650GS with. Triumph? 'nuther BMW? now Honda?

They should've revived the TransAlp name.

That's more of a cult than the KLR! I'm still waiting for the Yamaha Tenere 660 to come to the US.

For an adventure bike, or even a sport bike, why has nobody built a 1200cc parallel twin with a 90deg crank (mimicing a v-twin firing order)? That seems a perfect engine package. Elligeable for WSB and AMA racing rules, and a very nice package to build any kind of bike around. The primary and secondary imbalances can be worked out, and elegant solution being what was used on the Ducati Supermono.

Check out the Yamaha Super Tenere. It will be available in the US in 1012.

EXACTLY! I'm surprised nobody's done that in WSB yet.

The only thing I don't like: 575 lb

I saw a guy who made an adventure bike from a Gixxer 1k. It was insane, almost 160hp, about 10"+ of suspension travel, and about 475lb. Couldn't find it, but THAT I could get behind. Hey, it's a narrower engine that the BMW GS and WAY more powerful!
