Re: Skydiver death on Saturday in Longmont.

All my friends who skydive say that if you do it consistently for four or five years, it WILL kill you. I guess that's why most of them only jump a few times a year.

Kim has a friend at work (who jumps a lot) and he has lost 80% of his friends.

It's something we've wanted to do really bad for a long time, but DAMN!!! Not a lot of time to recover for even the simplest of mistakes...

Re: Skydiver death on Saturday in Longmont.

Majority of Skydiving deaths occur during late turns.

Although I have read about very experienced skydivers cutting their main and never pulling reserve.

With huge enhancements like the skyhook, skydiving can be very safe. However, the human factor is usually what causes the error.
