MotoGP to Texas? Presser on 4/12!

Still in the rumor mill, but we should have some facts come Tuesday!

Formula One United States and Full Throttle Productions, which are building the Texas track, have scheduled a press conference for April 12, and it is possible they will announce the MotoGP deal then, likely along with a name for the new track. Tavo Hellmund, chairman of F1US and managing partner of Full Throttle, declined to comment when reached by AutoWeek on Wednesday night.

I wonder if they'll cut out one of the other US races? Maybe Indy?

All signs have pointed to Indy getting the ax for quite some time.

Austin is the Boulder of Texas with a good dose of Nashville and Hollywood(the music side) thrown in. Good times!

I know, I was more referencing that when Indy goes, it'll be closer to go to Texas to see motogp than having to drive to California.

Dennis Noyes thinks that this is a go for MotoGP. Hopefully they finish the track in time. And they don't do the race in July or August.

I lived in Texas for four years. Austin is a blast! The rest of Texas? Not so much.

I've been all over Texas except for Austin. Lived there for a couple of years. I haven't really had the urge to go back but I'll be planning a riding road trip to Austin as soon as the Moto race is finalized.
