After reading the thread about the Shoei Picotte for sale, it reminded me of my old orange Picotte. I sold it a few years ago and have regretted it ever since. So which helmet (or helmets) old or new, still in your possession or not, are your favorites?

My scorpion exo 1000. the inflatable cheak pads make a perfect fit and no high speed wobel. Vents work awsome, never fogs, it has a little latch that props the visor open for hot wheather, washable liner keeps the stink out. All I had to do was put on my vynil grafixs ( as seen in my avitar) and perfecto.

Loved my old KBC Force S with the WWII bomber nose art pinup girl "Miss Behavin". Haven't been able to find another graphic like it.



Of my current helmets I love the light weight, venting and graphics of my Rossi 8 ball from AGV.... if only I was as enamored with the fit. (it gives me a headache. watch this space for possible sale)

I get TONS of comments on mine. I have a blue iridium faceshield that works well with it. I had the original - with grey vents in front, but dumped it off the back of the bike at 40mph. I found a second Gen online and had to buy it.

Love the look of the paint scheme, and agree you can't find ANYTHING that matches or even comes close. I don't like the wind noise at higher speeds, and the vents don't really help. But its a sweet looking helmet.

My favorite was my Shoei. I forget the model but it was cheap. It saved me thats for sure.

The thing i liked about it the most was how well it fit my head, even with sunglasses and a headphone it was comfortable to wear.

My current lid is an arai that I had custom painted.

I'm a cheap bastard, and, actually like a plain white Shoei RF1000 (I think it is). I've read studies where the researchers said a bright, light-colored helmet is best for visibility among the cagers, like a big white bowling ball at roof level. So, plain white it is for me (lot cooler in summer too). Although, I've ALWAYS wanted to paint a blue (to match the gixxer) iris on the back so it looks like a giant eyeball looking at you from behind!

I had a scorpion exo 700 in the red burst and love the helmet, it has also saved my noggin.

Just today i bought another exo 700 but this time in the red / black predator ( they are on closeout for like $125!!! what a deal!! )

I'm really digging that Isle of Man helmet! Dirk, I remember the old Rothmans Honda helmets Freddie Spencer used to wear. He had one with the Union Jack that was really nice!

I agree, I didn't like the look of the second chick. When I dumped mine, I made sure to get the original - but I could only find it with the red vents in front.

I really like my current Shoei X-12. The fit an comfort are incredible. I did have some fogging issue at first but resolved that via Pinlock face shield. I picked it up when they were first released so I went with the Streamliner TC-1...



If I were buying one today I'd probably go with the Kiyonari TC-1...
