    Cool riding shoes/boots

I have a pair of military issued boots i usually ride with but i dont want to screw up the laces and wear the boot down. Ive never bought a pair of riding shoes before and am not sure what the better brand is and where the best place is to get them. anyone's help is much appreciated i have the scorpion skull bucket coat and helmet all black. and my bike color is below.

    Re: riding shoes/boots

are you commuting only, or looking for a riding specific boot, while sacrificing normal shoe looks and the ability to walk around all day? I honestly would consider the low cut riding shoes, but I've never tried them out either.

TCX Performance SS boots served me well for street/track riding for a few years. I could walk around all day, somewhat waterproof

Now I have Sidi Vortice's...I feel very protected, but they are not an all day boot.

the tcx's look pretty sharp. In terms of when well heres my schedule i ride to work about 20 min ride change into my steel toe boots then at 4 change back ride to the gym put my gym shoes on then change and ride home so i need something that looks slick but isnt too much of a pain in the arse to take off and put on. as well as i go riding on the weekend.

Depends on how much you want to spend for gloves? Just go to Grand Prix, Performance, or 303 Cycles... I'm sure you will find something in your price range Anything is better than what you have now! I thought someone was selling some Astars GP Plus gloves on here but I can't find the post

The more protective the gear = the more "slick" (IMO)
The more protective the gear = less injury and pain = less medical bills

The commute is a dangerous ride if you are going into Denver and using some highways with traffic. Intersections with traffic lights are were all my friends have been hit. Spirited rides on the weekend alone merit some good gear too. Check out kneedraggers.com and look for something tall with strong ankle support. Then try them on at Performance Cycle. Shop for the best price after you have tried on a boot you liked. Most boots as velcro and a zipper. So easy on and off.
