Those idiots are the reason motorcyclists, and more specifically those on sportbikes, get harassed by law enforcement. And I am not against stunting or stunters. There is a proper place for everything.

Way to put a bad rep on the people who enjoy abiding by the law and riding nromally with the occasional speed by to get away from a dumb driver. Thanks! DOUCHES!

Yep, everytime you get pulled over and harrased by the cops you can thank these guys (and the llike) for it.

Unfortunatly most people don't see the difference between them and us. We are all just hooligan sportbike riders every one of us.

This article is making the wrong assumption by blaming bikers for the shutting down of this freeway. This was obviously a gang action not something a bunch of individual bikers just thought of.

This is part of the bias people have when motorcycles are involved. If this gang closed this highway by using a bunch of beagles, police would not be looking at every beagle owner as part of a problem because dogs are more understood by the average person.

The way to stop this is of course spreading more information about the different types of cultures in the motorcycle community.

    Welllllll yeah......

Except when you are not on a sportbike. Then everyone is a sumo hooligan or DS hooligan.

Cruiser hooligan is pushing it though. At least for me - cant nearly pull that one off.

WON'T SOMEBODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...

It is sad not to see the "Baby on Board" signs on vehicles anymore too.

Can't someone just shut down I-25 with Prius-ii and broken down harleys? Would that do the trick?

While I agree with what you are saying, I also place the blame for the misguided pre-judgement on the individuals that are making the assumptions. These preconceived notions are the same reasons behind racism and sexism. While my examples may be a bit extreme, I hope that it expresses the point that the people making the assumptions are just as wrong as the people that are perpetuating the stereotype. That's all I have on this . . . <steps off of soap box>

Texas bike gangs and clubs are hardcore, they don't care for laws, safety or anything like it. They'll do it again and again and again even if arrests are made after this or not... Yes, a bad image for the responsible out there but nothing we can do to stop it... just like war or crime or stupid high gas prices.
