So I have never been to IMI (or any track for that matter) but I do know that some tracks have restrictions on having glycol in the radiator etc... What are the rules for IMI and what amount of time does the $35.00 get ya? I am expecting a new track suit to arrive tomorrow so if it comes in, then I will defiantely tray and make it depending ont he answer to the above questions...

From what I know they don't care about you doing anything to your bike and glycol seemed to be just fine. Also it sounds like the only gear requirement is a helmet.

During the week IMI opens at 10am and goes until dusk and you can spend the whole day there. The catch is this: Bikes and Carts (their main business) cant be on the track in the same session. Carts take priority so if there are cart renters, they get the track. During the week though it sounds like there are limited carts though so you get plenty of time. I went on a Friday a few weeks ago and I got more than enough in to wear me out and be ready to head home.

So no one really seems to be up for a ride tomorrow morning (Thurs) so I may just hold off and come up to IMI to join ya man. I've been wanting to head up there and I dont have to work untill 3pm, so I think I should have plenty of time to make a few laps and make it back down for work.

track access is quite limited here in CO, especially when you have to get there from here (Gypsum)
IMI would make for the 4th publicly availible track in CO

I'm most likely going to come up for a bit. Will also have to leave around 1-2. A buddy of mine wants to join as well, but doesn't have leathers. He has jacket, helmet, and gloves, but no leather pants. Do you guys know if you have to have full leathers to run out there? I know its recomended but I'm sure some of the guys here ride harder in the mountains with jeans on than you can really even do on a smaller track like IMI lol!

I have seen riders out there with jeans. Not the wisest choice but nontheless IMI doesn't care.

You can ride much harder at IMI than in the mountains. And jeans are okay but not recommended of course.

You can full throttle first gear and never hit 50mph. Oh and you can highside to the moon if you want.
