Met two guys on Yamaha XT 225's .... they went from Mexico to Canada. It would only suck on the few fast paved roads (not many) it would kick ass on the dirt! You just need to learn to travel light

Welp - guess it's time to pick up a Renazco and a cargo rack.

You may want to opt for an extended fuel range too.

Interesting, Forniclient must be filtering the pics out for some reason. Weird, because I can see other peoples pics.

Or at least bring a couple rotopax cans like we did. I'm sure if you were with a big bike you could bribe them to carry some fuel

As for bearings, I know you have read in Parallel Universe and likely Woodys postings. I, and my buddy, just went the Woodys Wheelworks route to eliminate any possible issues before AK. And he is in Denver. Was well worth the 125 bucks for a check, machine to spec and new bearings as I believe he is onto the problem. Also let him turn the rear into a tubeless.

I talked with them before I left. My bearings are fine now after 8k miles, I'll probably take it to them to check, might even switch it to a 18 inch rear from the 17 inch, depending on pricing.

When is the Southern Adventure Section starting?

Next summer....thats about the extent of our planning

As you can tell we didn't exactly plan out this trip very carefully ...... "looks like a good place to sleep" "we can make it too ??? by dark!" Although we did plan on needing extra fuel

Ahhh, I'm sure that's it. Forniclient is the most invasive security measure ever......besides what the DOE was using. Ah well, I'd love to see 'em, I'll have to check 'em out somewhere else. Drat!

Haven't logged into CSC for years, but had to jump back in to say great RR and had a great time riding with you Jay. Can't wait till the next section next summer. Chris, I'm thinking Kim is coming with us on her DRZ, so you'll have someone to hang with.
