Ouch....nice footage though.
gopro's rule! that camera didnt even flicker a little bit!
He held on like a champ!
My guess is that bike didn't have TC or he had it disabled. Notice the light (near the 4K RPM) did not flash. Not that TC would have saved him per se, but it couldn't have hurt.
Also hard to tell what happened since the sound went away due to slowing the video. Hope the rider is ok after the broken ankle.

Pretty sure that's (too much throttle/lean) exactly what TC is for? That is a stupid high speed corner though.

Damn! What a crash! And now he's selling all his stuff and donating the money to charity? hrm, I wonder why?
Respect and truth trump all!
I don't get lost. I explore.
I dont know much about racing but should you hold on when your already down and there's no salvaging the crash or should he have let go sooner?
I'm with grim, I don't know a whole lot but I'd want to be kinda not close to said motorcycle.
It's too bad he is going to sell off all his toys now just because of a crash. I have crashed more than once, and I will probably crash again. In my experience, the best thing to do is get another bike and go right back to riding. Letting a crash scare you away from something you love is a shame. It's much better to be stubborn and not give up.
If you ride long enough and fast enough, you WILL eventually take a spill. Falling is an integral part of the sport, and it's the reason why we all wear full gear all the time.
How would you like to get roundhouse kicked with a motorcycle?
here, here...plus wife is looking forward for me to die...due to life insurance i had to get cause i ride reckless. It's too bad he is going to sell off all his toys now just because of a crash. I have crashed more than once, and I will probably crash again. In my experience, the best thing to do is get another bike and go right back to riding.
