Dunno about slow, they were hella fast for the day, and those Max Wedge Mopars, and the Ford Thunderbolts would do 11's, easy, pretty much right off the showroom floor.

As long as you are happy than it's the right vehicle for you. Just enjoy the ride.

When I'm in a turbo4 w/AWD, I love the psssst from the blowoff valve, the forgiveness of the handling, and the power that isn't lost at altitude.

When I'm in my V8 Pontiac GP, I love the rumble, the instant torque, the fact that I've got two kiddos in the huge backseat, and that you can't get this much power for less money.

Yep, even shitty cars (or bikes) can have their charm, and I've loved many a POS that didn't "add up" on paper.

True car guys can find faults endearing and flaws become "character".

Also it makes it worth when driving and see one say dang I should have got the STI.

With the incentives a few years ago, I got one for about 4k above the WRX.

I love the brakes and tranny too

The real "steal" for the WRX (not STI) was when GM dropped the Saabaru and had $5k rebates on them. My cousin got his for under Invoice plus the $5k rebate...they practically gave him the car...

The downside to the STI over the WRX is that every jackhole in a Civic Si or Toyota Corolla S (don't ask me why) wants to race you, and every Cop thinks you're in the FATF crowd...but, so it goes.

    I love them both.

But, for me, two completely different experiences. I DO NOT drag knee in the canyons so the RC works out fantastically. It's not as nimble and flickable as the R6 but I love the gobs of torque available anywhere in the rev range. With that said, I took it to ride The Dragon and loved every minute of it!

The R6 is a perfect track toy (I was not racing). Light, cheap, plenty of parts to be found when the inevitable happens, and a complete blast to learn race-speeds on. Yeah, many will argue about a bigger bike, but I can't tell you how many times I'd have someone on a 1K blow by me down the straight only to pass them back 2 turns later...

For my riding style those two worked perfectly for what I used them for and would not have wanted to transpose them. *Your results may vary

If I had to choose one, I would've picked the RC hands-down. Your talking about several thousand miles on that every year vs. 5-10 trackdays on the R6, and the RC would've sufficed for a few trackdays if needed.

For me, personally I would have to take the Camaro/Muscle-car over the trackday/WRX as it would be a better tool for 95% of the work I'd do with it.

Really? I think you're confusing "Metrosexual" with "Emo", look more carefully next time, you'll see I'm right.

And, either way, maybe be the sad, fat, balding man in the GTO inspires them to put down the Starbucks and take a shot.

The early ones only had 400hp, but the more I see them (CTS-V) the more I like them.

I drove a new CTS-V last winter. It's impossible not to smile when you drive that thing. It's ridiculously fast. I also drove a 750hp (at the wheel!) Viper, but the Caddy was soooo much nicer.

Funny people comparing CTS-V to a Viper and what have you...two different animals. Also funny people comparing WRX's to the Camero.

Figured with IRS and the power, it would have had a better time at the Nur. Made in Canada, didn't know that, but still funny that a little Korean fella designed the camaro, but now works for VW.

I drove the 11 CTS-V 2 door, and I'd take that car over anything priced near it.
