    Iced in at work

Yay, they have shut us in on base! I just got notification that road conditions on and off Schriever AFB are BLACK and no one is allowed to leave for the time being (since 10:45AM).

Should've stayed home this morning. Anyone else stuck out here?

According to the news and some colleagues who arrived later, there are at least three cars that went off the road on the way here.

I must've missed all the real excitement because it wasn't bad at 6AM.

The back of the guy with the 'stang kinda looks like BadR6Man... (no worries, it's not John).

    Update as of 12:16PM!!
Security forces are currently letting all personnel off base, but at the individual’s own risk and all road conditions off Schriever AFB are BLACK.

Sweet, but as much as I want to escape before they close the base again, I think I'm gonna wait awhile til the mass exodus dies down.

Just out of curiosity, does that mean black ice or is it a military code for the condition?

I saw a couple pony cars out and about today. I chuckled, but they were doing all right.
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

I saw an old beat-to-shit teal 4th Gen Firebird sliding backwards trying to get over one of the smallish hills on Crapahoe. I'm assuming bald summer tires don't do all that well in snow.

    I had no issues.
