    Classic Bikes in the CSC

gsxridiot's thread on his FZR 400 got me to wondering what we have in the CSC stables are far as classic bikes (let's say 1992 and earlier). I'm interested in what people have now, not something they owned in the past, because it might be fun to try to get a bunch of old bikes together.

    Here's what I have:

My first bike, a 1984 Honda VF500F Interceptor (although currently it is in parts being restored):

    A 1985 Honda VF1000R:

    A 1986 Honda VFR750F Interceptor, awaiting restoration:

What else do we have around here?

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

I WISH I'd been able to keep my '86 Gixxer1100....... I think your '85 VFR1000 is my fave of all your vintage bikes there Dirk. I always thought those were cool. The new Hondas leave me cold for the most part due to their "styling".

It would be cool to get some classic bikes together. I've been riding my old bikes quite a bit this year.

Cafe racer project (built on '74 CB750) that will be done this month............

1980 Honda CBX that is identical to my first bike bought new back in the day. Complete with optional lowered bars and rearset footpegs. I have a '79 CBX as well that is silver with silver wheels.

A retired road racer CBX that was restored and converted to a road bike. Built on an '81 CBX main frame.

A "C" model ZX11 that has reworked suspension/brakes and is now a sport touring bike.

    Thanks!
The build was started by the previous owner. I've got tons of my own work in it as well.

Nice! Aren't those being reproduced in India now?

Not sure, but this one looked vintage. Looked like the Interceptor model to me, but I'm seriously lacking in familiarity with the various models.

God if only I knew that 62 BSA Gold Star that I bought for $350 in 1975 would be worth something today. Or the 63 A10 I bought in 87. Or any of those old bikes. Even a B44 Victim. LOL.

    Nice rides guys.

    GB500!! Damn!

C'mon people, what's hiding in your garage? Any RD350s or 500 Gammas or bevel drive Ducatis? Post up. I know of a special CB530/Four that is being rebuilt.

I still have my motorcross bike that I raced back in 1976. This is a 1976 Yamaha YZx 125cc. It was the last year Yamaha made a race bike with a aluminum gas tank and was one of the first years of the mono shock

I've always loved your Fizzer, John!! My '89 got stolen and was totaled in the police chase. When I went to pick it up from police impound, they handed me a bunch of parts in two milk crates. I told them to keep it...

Now THAT'S cool. I remember back in the '70's in boulder I used to go to a shop across from the Y near the Nissan dealership and drool over those and the IT's (blue dual-sports).
