    Gah, better than hitting on a girl at the store then getting her number, then when she walks out of the store you're struggling to push the bike uphill while her friends laugh at you because it wouldn't start then you realize 2 blocks later that somehow you managed to hit the switch to "off" position....fml

    Dunno. Tri-City has their share of lovers and haters. Personally I think they're alright folks but I've never used their service department.

    It could also be a battery terminal cable that isn't secured tight enough. Happened to me on my first bike, and happened to Clovis this weekend. Same exact symptoms.

    Before you pay someone, do yourself a favor and examine the connections near the reg/rect, voltage at the battery, voltage at the reg/rect, and voltage coming raw off the stator while running.
