If i don't race today, hopefully I will xtill be there to watch.
First, is anyone missing some sunglasses? Brad/lauren?
Had a blast today. I'm glad I signed up since I was on the fence about it. The racing was awesome up front and I hear there was a battle in a second pack also. New surface is awesome with lots of grip except turn 10. Felt like i was riding on a wide tar snake.
So how did they grid us today? Litre and bigger bikes up front than the 600's. It wasn't alphabetical like normal.
I hope the rider that went through the chain link fence is ok. All I saw from T9 was a big cloud of dust.

It went ok, my confidence isn't there. I could have carried way more speed into the corners, but I wasn't. I just need to hit a lot of lap days to get back to where I was. Honestly, it was embarrassing lol. Good news is I didn't crash, and that the guy who did missed me (barely).
I'm going to post a snip of it.

Here's a short clip where you can see him pick up the rear and run off. He was going pretty fast when he left the track.

Sucks trying to get your mojo back after a deployment and not riding for so long. My first track day in nearly two years was HPR a few weeks ago. I felt like garbage, but I am feeling much better now, maybe even better than before after two track days so close together. You will get it back man.

Thanks, let me know if you need a lift. I'm going on block leave the 14th and I plan to go broke hitting the track.
Looks like he never hit the brakes. We were all like, did he really go through the fence?
You just need to relax. Quit thinking so hard and beating yourself up.
He definitely went through. I watched a little as I ran off after I lost focus watching him scream by.
You all looked great out there, I helped the guy that bit turn 9 load up his trailer, he seemed ok, just banged up (hopefully). Hot friggin day out there.
I ended up taking off after the red flag so I could meet my teammates for grub, but it looked like you guys were having fun out there. It brought back memories to when I was doing SuperStreet 2 years ago at Pueblo.
Not to be all sappy, but enjoy and cherish the experience, guys. If it was your first time or your 20th time, getting out there and riding the track under race-like conditions is something that most of us couldn't have done a few years back. SuperStreet removes the barrier to giving racing a try, and I STILL have great memories from it. It's awesome the MRA is still keeping the program going, and even more awesome that nearly 20 of you SuperStreet riders hit the track on a hot as hell day!

Keeping it midpack since 2010!
How much is it to run super street?
$100
That gets ya classroom instruction from some great folks like Jeff "Brownie" Brown, a tech inspection of your motorcycle (trust me, it's helpful to see what that's like), around a 1/2 hour of on-track practice with an instructor leading small groups of riders, a few practice starts (again, a great experience), then a 7-ish lap race for all the glory and bragging rights.
For absolutely no extra charge you also can pit near other racers to see what their program is like. And don't forget the race gas fumes! Those are always free.
Just a reminder, your typical prep for SuperStreet is to just tape up any lenses that might shatter and replacing the coolant with water. It shouldn't take too long at all to get a bike ready for SuperStreet. Tires and brake pads should obviously be in good condition and the bike shouldn't be falling apart, but you probably knew that.
Cheers,
Jamie
