I've used tvmuse.eu for some time now. can watch any tv show for the most part after it airs. Doesn't stream in hd though.
Also use Vuze along with a peer blocker for all my torrent dl's and viewing.

No subscription fee to own a ROKU, there is free content... but it tends to be pretty old. You will most likely subscribe to NetFlix or HuLu - Both pretty cheap. Amazon Prime offers very good content with a pay as you go service. I also get all my location channels in 1080P, by just plugging my TV to the cable connection AND you don't need a box or pay any fees!!! (I do have Comcast HS internet $49 month)...

I was able to stream EuroSport 1 and 2 this weekend on my Xios with XBMC. (finally figured out where it was hiding)

It really just comes down to how Peerblock works. You are depending on a list maintained by humans in some form or another. What's to say that an anti-P2P firm sets up a brand new shop on a non-blacklisted subnet and they manage to snatch your IP up and deliver it to Comcast OR for that matter Comcast now must actively look for those grabbing pirated material thanks to three strikes. VPN encrypts that traffic under a point to point tunnel, so your external IP address for yarrrr-purposes is your exit node. The best VPN services will not keep any logs what-so-ever.
I personally use VPNme. Yes, its paid. Yes, its worth the protection for how much I do.

This 3 strike law is new to me. I did some research and it seems like all they really do is cut off your internet connection?
http://www.myce.com/news/french-anti...-victim-67497/
Based on the complaint of a content owner, the offender first receives an e-mail warning asking to stop any illegal downloads. The second step is a certified letter to the owner of the internet connection used to download illegal content. The third and last step affects the internet connection of the offender. In this case the French user in question will have fifteen days of reduced internet.
Here about USA http://www.mhpbooks.com/anti-piracy-...ins-this-week/
The Alert System will send two email alerts to begin with, informing the subscriber that potentially infringing activity has been taking place on their internet connection, while further offenses could result in a period of slowed internet speed, redirection to a landing page until the subscriber contacts the ISP to discuss the matter, or redirection to an educational information page.
So really if it happens wouldn't we get warnings first and if worse comes to worse couldn't we just switch internet providers? Or is this worse than I am seeing?

There is a great torrent client for the Android. I usually bounce my torrents from a VPS outta Boston over SSL.
Chromecast Is Google's $35 Answer to Getting Web Video on Your TV
Cable TV is officially dead...
We recently paid to get out of DirecTV. I got an omni-directional amplified flat panel HD antenna for both our TV's and have Apple TV, with Hulu and Netflix. The rest I just grab offline. Torrent-damage which is a member only site is what I grab things off of. Works good for me

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Some people are reporting that it's it some stores now. But alas, I called the two area ones in Littleton (SW Plaza and Southglen) and no joy. One moron even told me that it was deleted from their store inventory and only available online now because it was discontinued from their store. Friggin' idiots, I tell ya.
Anyway, SW Plaza gets shipments on Saturday and Tuesday, and Southglen on Saturday and Wednesday. So here's to hoping for Saturday!

I would be more interested in the Chromecast if it had an option to be wired. I have the ability to run a wired network anywhere in my house that I want, and I prefer gigabit wired to wireless.
I will stick with my MythTV PC, until I get my NAS and Raspberry Pi running XBMC completed.
