Does anyone know of any legit work-from-home type jobs?

I'm pretty sure the company I work for won't be around in 6 months to a year, so I want to start some kind of work-from-home type deal so that I have flexible hours to work between my current job and school.

I don't mind working 40-60 hour weeks on top of school, and I'm not afraid of hard work, so throw the ideas out there!

I don't know about one where you are your own boss or own the company, but a lot of medical claim billers are now allowed to work from home. Places like Blue Cross and Aetna now encourage their workers to work from home; although sometimes those options are giving by seniority.

P.S. I would not recommend getting into one of the billing agent gigs that are being offered by people. They are scams and you spend all this money on their software and are left to find your own clients and experience. Much harder that it seems.

Huh??? Why not, I have a few friends that do it here and in CA and they love it. If I wasn't the boss of my team and had to be in the office I'd love it. No commute, no annoying coworkers sitting next to you, comfort of home, etc...

Well yeah after 5 years you should have moved up. I started doing medical billing and then got promoted to actual auditing of claims and that takes much more thought and effort. Now I manage the teams who do the auditing for me. I think it really depends on the company you work for. Some want you to be drones and do exactly what they say, but I encourage my people to think for themselves; which ends up getting them promoted and happier at their jobs.

I agree though a life of it would suck, but I think Wrider was just looking for something in between his current job and since he is going to school I assumed this was just a temporary gig.
