    What is your favorite track?

What is your favorite track to ride/race?

I'm been fortunate to have raced on Phillip Island (Aus), Interlagos (Brazil), and Eastern Creek (Aus). Along with pretty much all the National track here in the states.

Every track has it's own unique thing. i don't have a track that stand out more then others, but aspects of tracks do stand out. Like the Corkscrew, the incredibly fast Turn 1 of Phillip Island and Eastern Creek. the hairball last turn at Interlagos with the rear end spinning and drifting while the wall is right there to your right. Turn 4, Charlottes Web, at Barber. Or the long fast straights at Road America. The long straight at Road Atlanta with the chicane in place of Gravity Cavity. The Key Hole at Mid-Ohio. And there are many more. Anyway.

So what's your favorite track? or a track you would love to rider?

I've only had the honor of riding a handful of tracks, but I still have dreams of Miller. I love Black Rock (first place I put my knee down), the Attitudes and the front straight that won't end!

If I had the chance, I'd love to ride Jerez de la fronterra.

I've done Laguna in a car, but I'd love to try it on a bike. Miller is on my list of "someday". HPR is my favorite local track. Second Creek was my first. Dream tracks? Misano, Philip Island, The Nurburgring.

The only tracks I've ridden on have been Miller and HPR. Miller was nice. Really nice. Wide and smooth smooth pavement. I'm guessing a lot of the world class tracks would be similar but with their own individual characteristics. Barber I hope to do one day along with seeing the museum. Dream tracks? Monza or The whole Nurburgring track. Daytona would be cool. Infinion would be sweet. To many to list! That's awesome you raced Phillip Island

Hockenheimring - 20 mins from where I used to live:

I like it because it is conveniently located and it is surrounded by forest and just has a great atmosphere to it.

Miller seems like a popular track, and you know it's only 9 hours away or so. I'd consider Miller a 'proper' track. I'd like to ride and race on some tracks in Europe for sure. Seems like most of the proper tracks are wide, flowing and have some amazingly fast sweeping turns.

Barber is a rad track for sure and the Museum is like nothing else, that definitely is a must to see when you go out there. Barber is like a Country Club with an amazing track placed right in the middle. Like being able to drive some golf balls in the paddock before getting on your bike and riding the track.

that would be something else. i'd love to get out to some European tracks. Yeah just the history behind all those tracks make them even more appealing. All the old track have character.

I highly doubt that the AMA will come back to PPIR. probably due to several issues. from my understanding is that each track has to pay the AMA 'X' amount of dollars for them to come and race at that track. then the track makes its money through ticket sales, merch, concession sales, etc. I don't believe it would be cost effective for PPIR to have the AMA here. another thing would be safety. PPIR is not the safest of tracks and it's becoming more and more of an issue with the safety for the riders.

are those the exact reasons, i don't know exactly, but that's what i would guess.

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...

Re: What is your favorite track?

    Let's see... I've ridden/raced:
    - SCR (Second Creek)
    - IMI (where I first got my knee down)
    - CDR (Continental Divide Raceway/Mead)
    - PPIR
    - Pueblo
    - La Junta
    - Hastings
    - Miller (West course, I believe)
    - HPR (full & North course)

For the longest time Pueblo was my favorite because I liked the layout, and I loved the elevation changes (Second Creek and CDR, despite safety issues (particularly at CDR), were pretty kewl in that aspect as well)... the fact that I'd put hundreds of laps around it probably has a lot to do with it as well.

I've only ever ridden HPR twice, but it's starting to grow on me.

Re: What is your favorite track?

I enjoy both Pueblo and HPR, but I think my favorite is Road Atlanta before they to the Dip out. I'd love to run the old configuration on a modern bike.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
