"CotA management requested I leave the track immediately... CotA's security force also accused me of criminal trespass and warned I would be arrested the next time I entered the track" - Kevin Schwantz.

Of course Schwantz and CotA have some pending legal issues due to his involvement in the course etc etc. Seems highly classless to have him thrown out as he was a) credentialed to be there and b) was training Blake Young. I will be interested to see how this develops because it would be hard to justify banning a former racer due to legal issues.

I read the same thing.

My first impression was how could they do that? Why would they ask him to leave if he was a guest of the team.

My second impression was, the lawsuit he is involved in is a pretty good reason to give him the boot. I dont know if I would want the person sueing me to be in my facility...team or not. I think its understandable why he was asked to leave, but also a little below the belt.

It just seems ridiculous that the COTA people can't work together with a MotoGP Legend...if they've invested $400 million in the project then why ruin all the hard work by having a very public and acrimonious dispute with a high profile racing legend. Get it settled and move on people!

Interesting follow up. However, he WAS an invited guest of LCR Honda and was there to coach Blake Young, according to several sources.

If they had a beef with Jeremy Burgess, and he was there with Rossi, do you think they'd escort him out? Mind you, their beef is with Schwantz OFF the track - I could see if he had been a douche nozzle on the track and was a safety hazard, but this is seriously one of the most mind-numbingly dumb moves by an organization.

What a childish bunch of pricks they have at CotA. I'm now glad I didn't make plans to go down there with my family this year. I like how later in the statement they say this:

I hope a lot of people "determine" they don't agree with CotA's handling of the situation and "determine" to stay away from the circuit.

That is how most of Epstein's development projects have ended, once he has used up everything he can of you, you are either fired, sued, or both. The only time he will "settle" is when there is too much dirt he doesn't want exposed, like he did with Hellmund.

He's a wild card in the US rounds of the MotoGP slate on board an Attack Performance Kawi CRT machine.

If riding a CRT machine for three rounds against arguably the best motorcycle riders with some of the most sophisticated machines in the world is "bombing" sign me up! I doubt he'll present much of a challenge to the field, but good for him.
