Anyone on this forum from the Western Slope? I've noticed a few squids out here toolin around in town but have yet to meet anyone who is down for a spirited ride up the Monument or Mesa.

I'm out here too. But I traded my sportbike in for a dualsport. I can't really keep the same pace on the De Beque cutoff with a knobbie front tire!

Down to Norwood would be a good ride, when you do it be sure to check out the car museum in Gateway and for an added challenge figure out where I took my avatar pic Once at Norwood if you dont want to turn around and go back you go a little farther on 141 and cut east to Ridgway and then up 550 to Montrose (more good riding) Once in Montrose if you still have energy and time take 50 east to 92 then north into Delta. At this point I have no more fun to get the rest of the way home.

If I lived out thataways, I'd be filling up in Naturita a couple times a day on the weekends.

At Delta you jog right and take CO-65 over Grand Mesa!

Hwy 550 from Ouray to Durango is one of my favorite rides on the western slope.
