    Re: Qatar GP

This race couldn't have gone any better for Rossi(aside from winning it), he has shown he's still got it, still fast and still a threat. Would have liked to have seen the race unfold had he not run wide early on in the race and didn't have to make up so much ground after that.

Either way, I loved every minute of it.

Blowing that corner might have cost him the win. Great to see him back!

Honestly, that's what I was thinking. After watching him battle back and have so much speed against everyone else. I think had it been a race of perfection with no mistakes. We would have seen him and Lorenzo battling it out at the front. Who would have won?? hard to say, as Lorenzo was fast as hell(as usual). But Rossi was unstoppable. Once he got in the zone and that "it" factor took over. He dispatched everyone in his path. Dropped Crutchlow like a bad habit. Pedrosa put up zero fight. Marquez was the only one who had some speed to keep up. However, I think if the race would have lasted another 2 or 3 laps, we would have seen Rossi break away from Marquez just as easy.

Today Rossi truly was riding on a different plane than everyone else. Even Lorenzo. I agree with you, would have loved to have seen the race without the mistake and wonder what the results would be.

    Always next race

    P.S.
should be noted, that he blew that corner to avoid slamming into Pedrosa. I think he had a lot of speed early on and Pedrosa was kind of sand bagging it there in the beginning until tires came up to temperature.

He ran out of fuel on the cool down lap.

Rossi ran out of fuel on the cool down. Marquez learned a thing or two from the Doctor, that battle was nice to see.

The Doctor made a clear statement today to those who said he was past his time based on the last couple of years. He's here to win a championship.

    And Marquez looked very impressive.

Not gonna lie, I had doubts concerning Rossi''s ability this season, especially when I saw how quick Dovi was going in qualifying with the Duc. Rossi really had a great race. I bet that had to feel soooooo good for him.

i dont think anyone could have given lorenzo a run for his money that race. just repeating 1:55s every lap while everyone was 1:56s with rossi dipping just under that near the very end. excited for all the guys this year, bummed crutchlow took himself out of the fight.

That was a very cool race... Loved watching Lorenzo take off like that, and loved seeing a MotoGP rookie battling at the front with one of the greatest riders the sport has ever seen.

Rossi loves to have a marker/rider to go after and he wanted to prove something, not just to Marquez. Glad to see Marquez give it back though!

    Re: Qatar GP

lol at everyone that said rossi was past his prime. of course it was that piece of shit ducati. Dovi even said the bike is not competitive. Good qualifying and great race start. Then he managed to work himself backwards through the grid.

Rossi made a mistake then made up for it.

I've been waiting for that race for 2 years. excellent

The next time Rossi crosses the finish line in first, I'm going to lose my fucking mind

Because the stupid rules force the teams to use the same size tank on the 1000's as the 800's. Idiots.....

I was surprised in his level of maturity. He fought very hard, even put a clean aggressive pass on Rossi, and didn't over-do it and crash himself out. props to the kid
