    Re: Lemon Pledge?

I'll try to get it all cleaned up soon. There was mud burnt onto the header so I used simple green and let it sit for a bit then a scotch brite pad and rubbed the mud off the header, now it's a nice copper/gold color much better than dried on mud. Bought a pack of toothbrushed at the dollar tree and went into the cracks as well.

This also may be off topic, but since we're talking about cleaning/waxing, do any of you guys wax your rims or put something on there to keep the dirt off or from sticking? Luckily my rims are black but they get caked with dirt after any decent ride beyond 100 miles. Would love to have something that keeps it from sticking so I don't have to wipe it down every tank of gas

Be glad you don't have white rims. I used to have white ones on the Gixxer.

Easy off oven cleaner - nasty stuff, wear rubber gloves and use outdoors. Spray on a rag, wipe clean in one swipe. Don't get it on chrome or anodized metal, it'll ruin the finish.

Along those same lines, engine degreaser works too. Especially on chain lube.

ahem... I have white rims everywhere and depending on what chain lube I used, it was a pain to get the rims clean, so I switched. I now use DuPont chain lube now and the dirt wipes off easily and I really don't have any chain fling. If anything does get messy, I use Motorex Chain Clean 611 to clean theM up while I'm using it to clean the chain.

    Magic stuff!

Good to hear. Wouldn't want to think killswitch has become a dirty girl.
