Have a leather jacket but want it just a little more perforated, not a whole lot just a few strategic holes.
Anyone tried this?
I see the punches for sale, but I'm scared to start whacking holes in my nice jacket....

Should be doable, though getting the spacing right and somehow not punching into the liner would be the worries.

I can't exactly tell from post, so this response may not be applicable…
Can you keep the holes you have and simply make them bigger? If there are already perforations in the right areas can you take a tiny (1/16") drill bit and drill out the holes you want to increase in size?
If it was me, I would not add additional holes - the spacing will inevitably go off course and the jacket will be ruined.
Buy mesh.

Nah, I'm gonna give it a shot.
Just talking about a dozen tiny holes, just to let a little air in and out around armpits mostly. Won't be really noticeable, if I do it right.... maybe...

I've done it - it's really easy actually. Get a hole punch(looks like a pliers) and to avoid punching through the liner, just fold the outer leather over. That way you can get to anywhere on your leathers with the small opening on the hole punch and won't go through the liner. This requires patience and care if you want it to look professional in an easy to notice location.
Give it a SHOT!!! All you need is a Magic Marker (felt pen).
A big needle
and do it in a "Stabbing Motion" (preferably without a person wearing the coat) cuz you don't want to perforate them too.
You don't have to stab it 3 times either.
Please post your results.

Fuck yeah thanks for the thread! This is what I want to do as well. I bought a very nice perforated jacket but there just aren't enough holes for me. I've seensome jackets with perforations all up the arm, the shoulders and the entire back. Mine has only on chest and forearm and todays riding I was sweating like a madman. I want more holes. I may hit up that leather guy in wheat ridge and see what he charge to do it so its perfectly even.
