    Re: Winter gloves

You're riding at 6:30am in the middle of winter?

I use Firstgear heated gloves along with my heated jacket liner. It's good down to around 40 degrees, maybe a tad colder but at a point it doesn't matter what you have, those hands are going to freeze up.

I have my Icon Patrol gloves and silk liners, if I ride much more I'm getting headed grips however.

I recently got the Sliders Cold Pro gloves, they were the few that I could find with insulation AND armor. http://www.compacc.com/p/sliders-col...armored-gloves They're pretty good down to about 40 degrees. Below that you wish for heated grips.

    Re: Winter gloves

The MSR's are great and are non heated. No armor, but warm as hell. I have worn them on extended trips in below freezing weather. The only thing I can hit them on is they are bulky...which is expected from a winter glove.

Here is a pic while on a trip from Winter Park to Oklahoma City. Below freezing temps for around 150 miles. Did not start warming up til around Buena Vista.

    On RideApart today - http://rideapart.com/2013/12/alpines...orcycle-glove/

Alpinestars has incorporated the active heating technology found in their Tech Heated Vest into this versatile pair of waterproof, well-protected gloves. They provide controlled, all over heat, while Alpinestars’ breathable Drystar membrane keeps your hands nice and dry. The gloves also have additional knuckle, wrist and finger impact protection.

I wear the Tourmaster heated gloves and have been very happy with them, lack of armor in important areas is my only issue. Those AlpineStars gloves look very interesting, I might have to check them out.

I wear the Knox Zero gloves. Some of the best armor you can get in a winter glove. Waterproof/insulated, without being too bulky.

    Re: Winter gloves

I wear the Olympia Cold Throttle gloves with silk liners. I've ridden down into the mid-20s and been okay, although just for ten or twelve miles at under 50mph. I'd want to get either hand guards or heated grips to go much longer or colder. They aren't very bulky, but they are bulkier than the Alpinestars I wear when it is warmer.

    Re: Winter gloves

I installed the Symtec Grip Warmers on my Z. Cost about $40 and by warming up my hands it feels like my the rest of my body feels the warmth. Well worth the money and nice to have toasty hands using normal street gloves during the winter.

I could care less about the type of motorcycle or brand, as long as it gets me to my destination with a smile on my face.
