I think an early start is great an all but with the rain we've been having, 9:00am start time is better for this road, IMO

Yeah, I'm really hoping yesterday's rain didn't wash a bunch of sand onto the road...It was so clean and perfect last weekend...oh, except for that one spot mid-corner coming back!

So, assuming all the weather forecasts are right, it should be partly cloudy overnight and into the afternoon before the rain starts. Plan on temps in the 50's at Moco, but in the mid 40's to mid 50's from Evergreen on up. Evergreen's forecast for tomorrow is Hi-63, lo-44 partly cloudy with 80% chance of rain in the afternoon. We should be just fine with a 9am start to get up and back before the rain.

I'll be going, if anyone is interested in leaving from the springs I'll be leaving at 7am from the shell gas station in Cimarron (us 24) and I25.

Exactly Sully, the washout and the moisture on the roads will be bad around shady corners. Be careful and most of all have a fun ride.

Yeah, the ride last weekend was absolutely perfect. Cooler up Squaw near the top and clean roads. Dave, Sully and Alex, we will have to do another Hwy. 77 before the season is over.

Sky's are blue? Really? I'm in Lakewood and it's socked in with fog. Probably less than 1/4 mile visibility. I was planning on going but this is making me reconsider. 9news radar shows totally clear in the whole area. Am I in some weird localized fog thing?

They were blue LOL... The news this morning said fog in the morning... But clearing and rain still isn't until the afternoon (fingers crossed).

Just low clouds/fog down here. Suck it up and ride, my sweetie drove up to Genesee 20min ago and says it's sunny and gorgeous above the fog.

Hmm I agree the first section sucked with the new asphalt and some loose aggregate, but the rest was about as clean as I've seen it all season. If you can't see all the way through the turn, be cautious and you'll be fine.

Great ride everyone...Squaw Pass was spectacular...minimal bicycles, minimal traffic, and flawless pavement! A few of us ended up blasting down Foxton and back up 126. That's probably the fastest I've ever gone down Foxton Great day!

DriveDave, that was for sure an awesome ride back down, those roads were amazing. Thanks again for leading and showing me a good mountain ride.
