DENVER -- A group of motorcyclists took over Denver roads on Sunday. On Wednesday, the Denver Police Department said it is looking for individuals who participated in the ride.
Denver Metro Crime Stoppers is offering up to $2,000 for information that helps them catch some of the perpetrators. Police are looking for photographs, video or anyone who witnessed the motorcyclists riding in a reckless manner.
It was part of “Kill Da Streetz,” an event motorcyclists say is meant to honor riders killed on the road. The group traveled around the metro area causing delays, police said, even shutting down Interstate 25 for a short period of time.
The group blocked northbound I-25 near University Boulevard, causing traffic to back up while the group did tricks in the middle of the interstate.
Police said doing stunts and wheelies on the interstate could fall into careless or reckless driving.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers can be reached at 720-913-7867 or on the web.
