Saw a pic of that but it looks even more like the F800 in that video. 96 hp...not bad. I wonder what the weight is? Might be a looker?

Pretty close to the F800 in weight. I think mine is about 420 or so. It does look a lot like the F800 with the beak on it. More hp than my bike too

rode the 2010 1050 at the demo days in Loveland this year. Absolutely loved the bike and would buy one in a second if I had the funds.

Thanks! I looked around a little but didn't see any price point, did you see anything? I'm guessing it'll be neck and neck with the f800 @ 13k

Re: MCN first ride. Triumph Tiger 800

I'm still baffled at where Triumph got the design idea.

Same weight, same basic design, more hp, as long as it's not overly priced (I think BMW has that market cornered anyway) I'm sold. The only real factors would be 1. suspension (hopefully it has adjustable forks) and 2. aftermarket accessories/crash bars. Then again, it would be hard to be more expensive than the beemers.

The biggest negative for me about the F800 is the suspension. I definitely need to upgrade the front suspension.........someday.

The beemer is almost afordable if you find a demo for sale

If that Tiger comes in at a decent price it could be a real big seller.

That was what scared me when I rode one. I wasn't ready for that much dive in the front end.

True that! It's how I got my duck.

Agreed. I think there are tons of people out there looking for something other than beamers (w/ beamer price tags) to fill this market segment.

About the same price as the F800GS (11k). 7700 pounds is about 12k dollars, pretty expensive. More realistically the BMW is about 13k with ABS and some other stuff. Same ballpark though.

As of today's rate 7,749.00 EUR= $10,624.38 per www.xe.com. And according to the BMW website, a similar bike has an MSRP of 12,900.00. So it's $2300 difference. Not leaps and bounds less money but being in direct competition with the F800, it is cheaper. Who knows if it's as good though.

I thought is was in pounds not euro's. I think the pound is valued a bit higher. I could be wrong though. Love to try one out when they come across the pond.

You're right, I fucked up. In pounds it would be $12,515.00, much closer to the BMW price.
