I am. I really wanted to ride yesterday just for the funny looks. People in CO are such pussies when it comes to the cold. We bought a used car this weekend from a dealer - went to the Air Care Colorado testing station this morning to get the emissions test - all stations are closed "due to inclement weather and concern for our workers safety."
Put on a fuckin jacket and get to work. The post office is delivering mail, you can do an emissions test in a garage.

The panhandler showed up to work today, the weigh stations are open, even the Denver schools are open. Get to work people!
I'm going to go back and hang a sign on their door under the inclement weather sign; "Accepting donations for hats and mittens on Thursday February 3rd."

The office is open, and full of working people. In 10+ years I can only recall one or two office closures due to snow. Everyone back east is calling a snow day... wimps.

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
--Thomas Jefferson
That is freakin hilarious!!!!!

Tylar, yea, it took them about 2 hours today to get back to "normal".... Now my finger tips are slightly tender... Knobbies handled great though! The afternoon ride should be spectacular!

I don't have a plow or studs, but I got this:
-14.8 avg for my 35min, 11.5 mile commute. I know, I know, baby steps...
How the hell did you get your ninjette to start in this cold weather? Are you rejetted?
Yes! Modified airbox as well... 102 main jet, and 40 pilot jet.
You Sir are a stunning human being.
Kudos to a job well done!
I will have to do that on my sister's Ninjette. Thanks!
lol, thanks guys!

Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.
lol, that might be taking it a bit too far, no?
Thanks for all the compliments peeps. Mo pictures of crazy snow action! or stories, or "You might be a winter rider if...."
Where's The Snow?!?
Bring it ON!
In case you're curious, it feels like riding on 2 flat tires on the asphalt.
But it's unbelievable on the deep snow and ice!
Those look a lot like some of the home-brews I saw on ADV rider... Did you make them yourself Joe? Did you purchase them somewhere? And about how long do they take to install? I've been toying with that idea for a long time....
Jebus. That's hardcore. Bet it would make mince meat of the shit out there right now. lol
BTW, I did start up April today thinking it was gonna be nice for a while to make a short trip but as soon as I fired her up the flurries started spitting.
At least she got to idle for a little while....Grrrr

Yeah, I got the idea off ADV, but it took some time to find the right buckle.
Took about 4 hours to make at about $100 in materials.
It takes about 30 seconds each to put on (12 per wheel equaled 12 min).
Went to Walmart this morning to get some necessities and passed a Subaru.
You might have problems with the clearance between tires and fenders on that Ninjette, if you're in the SE part of Aurora sometime you can throw one on to see.
