    Honest/recommended Automotive Shops

The brakes plus thread made me think of all the shitty service that's out there where can you go and get good, honest service. So how about a list?

    If you have a Subaru:

    A Mobile Mechanics
15810 West Colfax Avenue, Golden, CO 80401
    (303) 279-9433   (303) 271-3641 ‎

Buddy only works on Subaru's and is awesome. My mother has been going to him for 15 years with Subaru's and he is the most honest mechanic I've ever met. Stand up guy for sure, just check his 5-star google reviews.

    Everything else:

Double D Auto Truck RV Services
9990 Ralston Road, Arvada, CO 80004-4958
    (303) 431-8499 ‎

Dan is also a straight-up guy and Buddy (see above) recommended I take my Tahoe there when it needed an intake manifold gasket. Dan charged me under $500 for the work where I got quotes from $1200-$1800 at local GM dealers.

I would absolutely recommend either of these places to anyone.

Good idea on a thread. Wish I could say where to go...but oddly I have bad luck with places and end up doing my own servicing.

    For Colorado Springs:

    Precision Motors
    316 East Fillmore Street
    Colorado Springs, CO 80907-6306
    (719) 632-6370

I've only had a couple tire services and one oil change there, but I've always been treated with courtesy and they've never tried to sell me anything I didn't need. My coworker has used them for over 4 years for three of his vehicles, and his assessment is the same as mine.

Mike @ Pickerings Auto in Arvada (200sr20 here on CSC) is who I'd recommend if you're in the area.

If you want an honest and knowledgeable mechanic, go talk to John @:

    All Japanese Repair
    303-456-6494
    6068 W 55th Ave
    Arvada, CO 80002

John is the co-owner of this little shop in Arvada just off of Wadsworth. My girlfriend and I drive the 24 miles from Aurora because we refuse to go anywhere else. John will work on any make or model of car or light truck there is. Call him and you won't be disappointed.
