    Power Outlet, Great Product

Just wanted to pass along a great product I found. I use my Iphone to listen to music while I ride and on long trips it tends to drain the battery. And since I also use to navigate a dead phone means I cant find my way home. I found this great power outlet that I just installed and it works great. Waterproof, easy to install, comes with handlebar mount (which I didnt use because I mounted it in the tail section) and its relatively cheap.

Cool! Need this, my GPS sucks the phone battery DRY. So it's a cigarette-lighter adapter that wires directly to your battery, or the fusebox? How do you have yours setup? I have a USB adapter like one of these in my truck, so guess that'll work?...

Have a similar one wired up to the duc. Works great to charge the phone, but also powers the GPS when touring.

I installed a Powerlet on the VFR for last weekend's 1000mi loop out to Durango. Powered my phone running Instamapper and Pandora the whole way.

Yep that's exactly how I have it. I was going to try and eliminate all the adaptors, cig outlet to USB adaptor to iPhone cord to iPhone. But since everything, including heated gear, offers a cig lighter plug it seemed that that was the most universal power source.

Nice, thanks! I listen to music too, but my attery usually lasts all day, and then I bring the charger along to charg at night. I usually have my player on my wrist so I don't want a tether to the bike, but I think it'd be good for my GPS, or the new one I want.

I bought a cig lighter socket at West Marine and had it right below the Powerlet on my 2000 Sprint. My new Concours came with a cig lighter style socket in the dash.

I rigged up a removable dual-cigarette lighter system on my Z. Complete with fusible link, quick connect plug-ins, and waterproof outlets. Cost was about 30 bucks including buying the eyelets and heat shrink.

I installed mine about a week ago. The only somewhat complaint i have is that the wires are a little short, but it worked out.
