    PPIR Tuesday July 24

Headed out to PPIR on Tuesday 7/24/12 to give my new 250 some love.

Have already talked to the track manager, so he knows to expect at least me. Others are welcome to join.

$150 for full day of track of time, plus garage space, and electricity. All included.

Please post up if you are thinking of attending so I can give him a tentative headcount by Monday afternoon.

I've never been there. Can you break it down for me in relationship to PMP and HPR?

    Shorter than both

1.3 mile track with 7 turns.

Long(ish) straight onto an Oval front straight from start finish to T1

T1- Left hand long sweep off of the banking onto an infield apron

T1/T2 (you never really leave the turn) exits onto the nascar back straight

T3- (Slowest corner on the track) left hand 170 degree turn into the infield

T4 - Right hand 175 degrees, but more open than T3 in the infield

T5-6-7 = A series of esses leading to a tight left hand turn onto the front straight.

Lap times are short (just over a minute if you're going pretty well) and the track does not provide much opportunity for rest.

    Hope that helps

That's a bummer. I haven't been there, so I guess I should just suck it up.

They have smaller spaces, minus the garage and electricity, for perhaps less $$?

Any other information on the track day? Never been to PPIR, but I'm looking at getting a final day in before I head to South Carolina for the next six weeks.

BTW, I don't think you can save any cash by not getting the garage so might as well use them. Nice to have

Sarge, what do you need to know about the track? If you want to discuss it I'm on Carson at the CCTT building if you want to stop by. I'm excited about riding at PPIR, this track is a lot of fun.
