Are the graphics on motorcycle fairings clear-coated?

Was wondering if the graphics on motorcycles are clear coated? Was wondering as I bought a fairing for my 98 YZF but its an earlier year with different graphics.. Was wondering if I'll able to "peel" the graphics/stickers off and and simply apply the year-correct ones or if I'll have to do something special to remove the old graphics/stickers....

    TIA!

Most are. At least when it comes to the ones on the tank.

It depends on the year, make, and model... Usually the ones on the plastics are not clearcoated, and usually the tank ones are, but even if you're able to peel it off, take into account paint fade.

Okay thanks! I can't believe how expensive "plastics" are and can see why insurance companies total bikes when its only plastics thats damaged. So for my '98 YZF50, just the one right side front fairing which is only 1 piece of 5 that makes up the entire front fairing, costs 750.00 from the dealer...Then the "stickers" are another 230.00!!!! Online shops that sell the same OEM parts want 550 for the fairing and 210.00 for the stickers. If I wasn't trying to restore my bike to stock, I would have opted for aftermarket fiberglass...
