Well your bike comes with the different modes if I'm correct. And with 9k less miles and 3 years newer lol. Thanks! You too The bike is amazing! I thought I was going to miss the deep thunderous growl from the vtwin. But after hearing the whine at about 5k rpms and on, I'm hooked

Kerry, I've never ridden with you but I'm gonna go way out on a limb and say drifting/stuffing do not describe how you ride. You don't need to think about what tires to get til your brain hurts. A. Go see Jim at TFOG. B. Get what he recommends for your kind of riding C. Go ride. That is all.

Yes, congrats to both. The GSX750 is one of the best sportbikes ever built IMO. I'd have one if I could!

I love the sound of my I4 screaming, just wish it sounded a little less Japanese!

I'm in the minority then. I'll always prefer the scream of an inline 4 , to that of a rumbly V-twin. I also prefer the power delivery of an inline to that of a v-twin. I never cared for the excess amount of engine braking a v-twin offered. almost always seemed to slow the bike down too much and felt as though I had to push the bike more. I've only had two v-twins, my Harley and a 01 SV650S, and the SV just didn't do much for me. picked it up thinking I'd use it for the track and just never gelled with the bike. V-twins do sound good in a long drawn out fart kinda way

I like the sound of any well tuned engine with the right exhaust on it. It's hard to pick a favorite, but Driver Dave's VFR sounds as good as any bike I've ever heard. I don't know what pipe he has on that thing, but it produces pure music if you are following him.
V4's (and Triples) sound great! but that's fodder for another thread.

I think the SV is one of the best beginner bikes you can buy though, I must say!

A riding buddy has an RC51 that sounds wonderful from any direction. I had a blast on a rental Buell 1125R for a week in NC. It has a slipper clutch so not bad engine braking and the torque easily dispatched traffic in any gear. Miss that bike.

The torque is great, until you're ready for some power and you realize your DRZ makes more!
That new ST tire from Bridgestone is called the T30. Chaparral has them on sale for a great price. I just order a set for me BMW.
