I don't really have any plans for new bike I'm quite happy with mine, but eventually a BMW GS for the long way round.

I've got more flavor than a packet of macaroni.
Rc8 and some sort of cruiser.
I am with a few others - GS, Tiger, or 1190 ADV for the street and keep the track bike

I might update the enduro bike, been toying with getting another I4 for the track but that is not real likely. Pretty happy with the old Buell so I'll ride it for the foreseeable future. Might sell the remaining Harley and move back onto a Kawi 250 or 300.
My next bike will be more upright, more suspension travel, perhaps light dirt capable, but I can't make up my mind. Seems like every week I want something a little different. If Yamaha, drops FZ09 engine in a dual purpose chassis, fully adjustable suspension, 19/17 inch wheels, I'd be all over it! At least that's what I think now
I'm thinking a KLR. My wife loves riding my VStar with me, but I'm not really loving it so much.
I have like 3... two stroke dirt bike, track bike, and a GSXR750 or CBR1000RR for street
Present: 2006 GSXR 750 (black/yellow), 2006 Yamaha R6r (blue)
Sold: 2011 Ninja 250 (green/black), 2007 R6s (blue)
I'd like to think that a Street Triple is in my future, and a sport tourer of sorts.
That is if I don't get a S1000RR first.
After trying I-4s, singles, parallel twins, v-twins, L-twins, V4s and now the triple - Unless Triumph comes up with an even better Triple R, I really can't see myself on another configuration. But I have to admit, kind of digging the ~800-900cc sport touring offerings: BMW, VFR, FZ09

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

I could care less about the type of motorcycle or brand, as long as it gets me to my destination with a smile on my face.
Honda Grom.
Just bought my next bike! Picked up a Yamaha Super Tenere. I want to start exploring some of those dirt roads I see when I'm riding on my Ducati and have often wondered where that dirt road went.
2016 Honda Africa Twin
2015 Ducati Monster 1200s Stripe

I'd probably go with a comfy Honda VFR

But I just bought another toy that I'll post up about in another thread, so it may be a while before I get another bike. At least a year...

"A strict observance of the written laws is doubtless one of the high duties of a good citizen, but it is not the highest. The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

The inline-4s just don't do it for me to be honest. The S1000RR and the S1000R are both great bikes and from what I have seen/read they are easy to ride fast and obviously very fast but there is no way I would take the RR over a Panigale or RSV4 and there is no way I would take the R over the Super Duke R or Tuono V4. For me there is something about the V-Twin and V-Four engines along with Italian styling that gets me. Now, when it comes to the super-ADV bikes currently the Multi is the best bike if you plan on 95% road riding, and the KTM Adventure R is the best route if you plan on a healthier percentage of off-road. FWIW I have ridden the KTM 1190 and it was an amazing bike, probably the fastest all around rig I have ever thrown a leg over.
These videos just get me good and excited about both, 600 sportbike riders think they are so fast....lol.

I hear ya, there's a lot to be said for character, but there's also a lot to be said for that motor in the BMW and the fact that their bikes just work really well. When i was looking at buying the S1000RR I had for a while, I tried a Panigale and it just wasn't as good of a motorcycle. Definitely looked better, sounded better, had more character, but it just wasn't where the BMW was as an overall motorcycle. That and the motor in the BMW gave me a newfound appreciation for an inline 4. I wouldn't knock it until you try it That said, I just bought a Super Duke instead of the S1000R so TIFWIW.
My list from most to least likely in the near future:
Dirtbike with supermoto setup - CRF450, YZF450 etc
RSV4
Mission RS
