One for commuting and one for playing? That's why I have two street bikes - the R6 is for fun and the Ninja is for dragging my ass across town to work.

Wish I had....I am on an anti-Kawi rampage right now since the directions in the owners manual on winter storage caused my fuel pump to burn out and is now going to cost me $500 to repair whenever they actually have Fuel Pumps in stock to send out to Vickery for the replacement.....I was slightly upset when I thought that the way Kawi recommends you to put the bike into storage may have clogged up my injectors....but finiding out that it caused my pump to completely burn out just has me livid.

Wish I could but I am still paying it off and I would rather have a bike made by a shit company than no bike at all for the foreseeable future.

Nah...I will still hate them as a company for doing something so stupid as putting a bike killing step in their maintenance section but my hatred for Kawasaki wont change my love for my bike.

Jason liked Suzuki until Kawasaki offered him way more money and more free bikes...

ASP- Yup you got that right! Couldn't resist! I have question, I have been waiting for this guy to have the title to this ninja650 but he said his mail is being weird and still hasnt gotten it. How long do I need to wait before I say ok I am done I'll find another bike and cancel the deal?

Is he saying that he's having a problem getting the title from his bank? It can take awhile unless you request a rush.

Did you already pay him for it and if yes, how did you pay? (Cash? escrow? paypal?)

He told me I didn't have to pay anything until the title was in hand. I wanted to make sure it was not a salvaged title and also its scary giving somone that much money and not having anything to show for. He said it's the DMV he is waiting on for the title.

Re: What to look for when buying bike?

Unless I'm mistaken the bank should have the title (not the DMV) if he had a loan/lien on it.

If he owns the bike free and clear then he should have the title.

Well I am alittle confused now. I don't know and the only email I have for him is the Craigslist one.

Or it could be that he lost the title and has applied for a new one from the DMV.

If he's waiting on the title from the DMV, have some patience. They are notoriously slow at everything they do.

He hasn't taken any money from you, so he's not trying to pull a fast one on you. It sounds like he's at the mercy of the government bureaucracy.

I didn't consider that. In that case yes, he's at their mercy.

I can't wait for the government to run health care next!
