That's less than 400 miles, that's a pretty easy day. Leave real early and avoid the heat, say 5am

your parents don't know what they are talking about. IF it gets hot. Pour water on the inside of your leathers, then open up the vents, like air conditioning. You will be totally dry by your next stop. You can do the same with your helmet. Take it in a gas station, pour water in the thing, then ride. Thats not a bad ride.

Easy ride. It'll just be a little warm this time of year.

My girlfriend and I went to Santa Fe in May on an R6 and SV650. It was a great trip and I would def go again. We took some very back roads and camped a night going there and coming back.

Quite doable in a day, on I-25. But make it an overnighter and go by way of Deckers and Taos. Riding up higher will be cooler. There's some nice roads down through Chama in northern NM.

Take the back roads because the ride on I25 is boring with very few turns.

One year it was really hot (100F) on my ride to Grand Junction. I rigged up one of these in my tank bag, with the nozzle clipped to the top of my screen. Works wonders.
